There is a lot of time that goes into owning a dog. The Shiba Inu breed doesn't require a huge amount of their owners time but that doesn't mean none. Although the Shiba Inu has abundant energy for any activities that their owner may choose, the breed isn't hyperactive. Thus the Shiba Inu is ready to play but it usually won't beg for your attention.

This breed on average can use about 2 hours or more of exercising per day (say a full hour in the morning and a full hour at night). The Shiba Inu enjoys many activities such as playing fetch (which usually doesn't come about without training), playing in the water, and also walking, jogging, or running depending on the owner.

As mentioned in the section About, this breed can be content if it is living in an apartment or a mansion. Obviously one would need to take into account the amount of room that the dog is living in. The smaller the home/backyard the more exercise the dog will need.
